Student Artist Profile: Grace Mervis

Grace Mervis resides in Akron, Ohio and is going to be a 2nd grader at Judith Resnik CLC this coming fall. She loves art and also enjoys reading, playing soccer and swimming. Her favorite artist is Mary Cassatt and pencils and markers are her favorite thing to draw with. She has been involved in our art program for 2 years and her favorite KidzArt project so far was the flamingo drawing (see below). Grace has a very distinctive style and we are always excited to see her imagination shown in her artwork!

In December of 2009, Grace took place in our art event with Jane Seymour in which she got to complete an art project alongside the actress!



We can't wait to see more of Grace's wonderful artwork in the future!

6/22 Urban Connections Event

Yesterday evening Rachel had the pleasure of doing an art class with some local girls involved in Akron's Urban Connections Organization. The students had a great time and did a fantastic job! This is a great group and we definitely plan on continuing to work with them in the future!
