KidzArt Summer Programming Approved at Local Akron Shelters

We are excited to announce that we have been approved to continue our art programming at two local Akron shelters and extend the programming into two additional shelters!

Last fall and spring we were lucky enough to work with Project RISE to develop and implement a Kindergarten Readiness art program we provided for the children at the local Battered Women's Shelter and at Akron's ACCESS shelter. While the program started out as a program for small children only, it quickly grew into a favorite for children of all ages at both shelters. This summer, we will continue our programming at the BWS and ACCESS, and also offer programming at both Safe Landing Shelters.

Below is some art-work that was done by the students at the shelters this fall or spring. We are so excited to be able to continue our work at the shelters and hope to continue to make a difference in the lives of these children and families.
